The greens have cleared, and the scores are in, marking an exhilarating close to this year’s high school golf season. In a gripping two-day face-off, Hamilton High clinched the Division I boys’ team championship, showcasing their prowess on the course and continuing a legacy of excellence.
The tournament was a showcase of talent and precision, with two of Arizona’s elite high school boys’ programs, Brophy and Hamilton, vying for the top spot. Senior stars from both teams, including Henry Dall and Tyler Spielman from Brophy and Vincent Cervantes from Hamilton, demonstrated skill and leadership that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
Hamilton’s Huskies, led by the seasoned senior and former Republic’s boys golfer of the year, Vincent Cervantes, emerged victorious. Vincent’s stellar performance, shooting a remarkable 9-under par over the rounds, propelled the Huskies to triumph over Brophy by a decisive seven strokes, ending with a score of 568-575.
Adding to Hamilton’s celebration, Angela Chen took the spotlight in the Girls’ golf Division I, securing the Individual Champion title.
