Ironwood High School senior Violet Lageschulte achieved something few other students accomplish –– she earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT assessment test in all subject areas – English, math, reading, and science. More than 1.3 million students took the ACT test while only .313% achieved a perfect score in all subject areas.
Violet has always been a good test taker. She previously attended Copperwood Elementary School, also in the Peoria Unified School District, and participated in their Center for Differentiated Instruction program for gifted students. As a sixth grader, Violet traveled to Ironwood High School to take math. Although her future plans are still undecided, she has a strong interest in STEM-related or cybersecurity fields.
The ACT is a standardized test for high school achievement and college admissions. While there have been more students meeting all four ACT College Readiness Benchmarks over the past several years, the average ACT composite has remained essentially unchanged. The national average composite score for 2022 was 19.8. The ACT is scored on a scale of one to 36, with 36 being the highest possible score.
