SUMMER CAMP GUIDE
CREATIVE COLOR ART STUDIOS SUMMER FINE ART CAMP
Young Vincents can explore their creative side this summer. Campers develop artistic skills while painting with acrylics, drawing, sculpting, and creating mixed media projects. Experienced art educators and artists guide children in developing an eye for color, composition, and design. Students create a portfolio they are proud to display at the end of every session. Parents agree that this one-of-a-kind program blends creative fun with fine arts education. Students, from beginners to advanced, will enjoy new thematic projects each session. Sessions run Monday through Thursday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Early and after care are available. The cost is $375 per four-day session.

SUMMER DAY CAMP AT THE PRINCESS
The Princess Summer Day Camp offers a safe, enriching, and fun-filled experience for children throughout the summer. The camp runs weekly from May 26 to August 1, providing educational activities, arts and crafts, swim time in the hotel’s pools, and other indoor and outdoor adventures, including the Trailblazer’s Kid’s Club. All activities, arts and crafts, and lunch are included. Families who enroll for multiple weeks receive discounts off the weekly rate of $600. Book two weeks and save $50 per week; book three weeks and save $100 per week; book four weeks and save $150 per week. SUMMER CLIMBING CAMP AT AZR
Campers eager to climb this summer can learn new skills throughout the week, including how to properly use safety gear, decipher route sequences and ratings, apply different movements and techniques to increase efficiency on the wall, problem-solve, and understand the importance of good sportsmanship. To ensure an engaging experience without exhaustion, the daily schedule includes fun, off-the-wall activities as well as a short midday snack break. Groups are based on age and skill level so that each camper gets the most out of their experience.

FIT-N-FUN AT XTREME GYMNASTICS
FIT-N-FUN camps promote health and fitness while keeping campers active and engaged. Each week, participants enjoy gymnastics, trampoline activities, group challenge games, obstacle courses, team sports, relay races, inflatables, and more. Weekly themes add to the excitement. Xtreme Gymnastics employs a high-energy staff that is USA Gymnastics Safety Certified and has completed thorough background checks. The facility is fully air-conditioned and features state-of-the-art equipment.

INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF ARIZONA’S SUMMER CAMP OF ADVENTURE AND EXPLORATION
The International School of Arizona’s summer camp offers five weeks of adventure and outdoor activities for children ages 2 to 12. The program provides a great opportunity to introduce campers to a new language, with sessions in Spanish or French. Campers participate in themed weeks that include sports and movement, culture and international fun, creative cooking for kids, music and talent, and mini professionals. Activities include hands-on learning, STEM projects, and art. Older campers can take part in iCode & ISA program, which feature Battle of the Bots: Tournament of Champions. This interactive program introduces children to programming, sensors, gears, and mechanics in a fun and engaging way. Campers work in teams to build robotic systems and compete in activities such as sumo wrestling, tug-of-war, head-to-head combat, and more.

METROPOLITAN YOUTH SYMPHONY SUMMER MUSIC CAMP
Open to MYS and non-MYS members, the Metropolitan Youth Symphony staff offers a week-long program of musical work, fun, and learning for enthusiastic young musicians. Programs start at 8 a.m. and end at 3 p.m. for a full day of enhanced or half day. A typical day includes “getting to know you” games, theory flash, rehearsals, electives, and more. Elective and activity choices include Beginning Jazz, Yoga for Musicians, Sight Read Like a Pro, Beginning Guitar, Foley Sound Effects, Conducting, Dance and Sports Break, Movement in Music, and more! Placement requirements: One to two-minute solo or etude of choice (school). Strings: Two scales selected from G, C, D, A, F, Bb. Winds: Concert Bb, Concert F, Chromatic scale. Short sight-reading excerpt. Full and half-day camps are now open for registration. Full day camps are $300 (scholarships available). Half day camps are $200 (first year strings only).
