Did you know that some of the twinkling stars we see at night are time travelers? The sparkly light from some stars started its super-duper long trip to us when dinosaurs were still around! So, when we look at the stars, we’re seeing a very, very old light show!
Butterflies have tasting feet! They tap-dance on leaves to find the yummiest spot to lay their eggs. Their special feet, called chemoreceptors, help them taste sweet fruit too!
October 24 is United Nations Day. It’s a special day where we celebrate the friendship and cooperation between countries all around the world!
English has some really funny-sounding words, like “flummox” (which means to confuse someone) and “gobbledegook” (which means language that is meaningless or hard to understand).
Tornadoes always rotate cyclonically, which is counterclockwise in the Northern Hemisphere and clockwise in the Southern Hemisphere. The rotation direction is due to the Coriolis effect caused by Earth’s spin!
